Tears Collection

“Tears Collection” is a long-term project in which artist Ahmad Karmouni collects tears to observe their slow transformation into salt crystals. A process that is both alchemical and poetic, it captures not only their mineral saline essence, but also what remains unseen; fading memories, hushed emotions, and quiet stories nestled within each drop.
Through crystallization, tears become delicate vessels, carrying the traces of fleeting inner states and remnants of emotional thresholds crossed. Elusive and unruly by nature, the tear resists capture, bound to the vulnerability of the souls that choose to offer it.

From this act of collection emerges a living archive, a shared emotional sanctuary, a space of resonance that holds intimate narratives.
